Don’t worry, first of all, it’s not the only method, and secondly, it’s not all that time-consuming. Just a few minutes spent on hand washing your underwear can ensure that it stays in perfect shape for months to come. Just follow the instructions:

• Prepare water at a temperature between 20 and 30 degrees – not more, because such a temperature can deform the bra
• Dissolve a mild detergent (baby clothes detergents work great) or soap, even the mildest grey soap.
• Submerge your bras in the prepared solution and let them soak for a few minutes. Remember not to mix colors with white.
• Wash all elements using gentle, sliding movements. Never rub hard while cleaning – this can damage materials such as lace or tulle or various sewn-on accessories.
• Rinse washed laundry in clean, lukewarm water
• Drain the bras from excess water without wringing them.

• Be sure to use a laundry bag for your underwear – they cost just a few zlotys and prevent bras from getting tangled among other clothes, laces from getting pulled and other unpleasant situations.
• Fasten your bras before washing – this will prevent the hooks from catching on other delicate elements
• Set the washing temperature to no more than 30 degrees, and select the most delicate program available in your washing machine.
• Set the spin speed to the lowest possible (or not at all – if your washing machine has this option)
• Choose a gentle detergent or a special laundry liquid. You can also add fabric softener, but don’t overdo it with the amount, because this way you can also ruin your underwear faster

  • Hang bras by the yoke, this will prevent the model from deforming
  • You can also hang them by the straps using clips – this solution is not ideal, however, because the straps in some models can deform from being squeezed this way. This solution works great for panties and socks
  • A great way is to dry bras on clothes hangers.
• Don’t dry your underwear in the sun or on a radiator! We know that it speeds up the whole process, but it certainly doesn’t do any good to delicate materials – they can fade and stretch faster.
